#1: Experience the Festival Scene at The G! Festival
Known to locals simply as “The G!”, this annual Faroese musical festival is hosted by the seaside village of Gøta on Eysturoy in mid or late July. While the exact timing varies, the event always takes place before the Ólavsøka, the National Day of the Faroe Islands that marks the opening of the Faroese Parliament (Løgting) and commemorates Saint Olaf, former King of Norway.
